St Fergus Gallery and High Life Highland would like to invite to a new quilt exhibition - The 25 for 25 Collection. This exhibition of 25 works by contemporary makers was intended to act as a snapshot of patchwork and quilting at the time of The Guilds 25th Anniversary.
The Musical Map of Caithness produced by local musician Gordon Gunn and friends in 2015 has proved a huge hit with local sand visitors. Gordon said, We had a terrific response last summer and now we are restocked and gearing up for summer tourists so folk are are using it as their musical tour guide and from hotel responses some are staying the extra night due to the visitor attractions on the album and wanting to go and visit.

Visit Spectrum, an exhibition of screen prints by an Edinburgh artist Catherine Sargeant. Catherine graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a 1st class BA(Hons) in Drawing and Painting and she became the first recipient of WASPS new graduate award.
Rush.dance have just competed at UDO Lancashire Championships in Blackpool. Results on the day Team - U14 Beginner 4th place, Demonz.

The Birthday Party is about Stanley Webber, an erstwhile piano player in his 30s, who lives in a run down boarding house, run by Meg and Petey Boles, in an English seaside town, probably on the south coast, not too far from London. Two sinister strangers, Goldberg and McCann, who arrive supposedly on his birthday and who appear to have come looking for him, turn Stanleys apparently innocuous birthday party organised by Meg into a nightmare.

St Fergus Gallery and the Science 03 are delighted to invite you and your friends to visit the gallery to use a microscope to get a closer look at various objects and project the images onto a big wall. There will be a good selection of objects you can use but feel free to bring some of your own - be it feathers, sea shells or even a wing of a butterfly.
Rush.dance has just competed at MAD street dance championships in Motherwell. Mad is always a big Scottish street dance comp with all the very best dancers from around Scotland but again our Rush.dance kids performed their way to making finals and bringing home trophies with our Advanced Duos Laya and Chloe taking the top u12 spot and our youngest of our group U8 Novice dancers taking all the top 3 places, 1st Ava, 2nd Hannah and Troy 3rd place.
We hold classes which are aimed at introducing everyone to Ballroom and Latin dances, but also giving a bit of help to get some confidence to lead and to follow when social dancing too. The classes are at Beginner Level but we also have a later class where the members are working on Medal routines and more advanced steps.

The Edge Dance Studio in Thurso marked its 6 month opening with showcase performance at Mount Pleasant school on the 17th of December infront of a sell out crowd. Around 100 studio members, (kids from the age of 2 right up to adults) performed on the night, showcasing 11 different dance styles.
St Fergus Gallery and High Life Highland would like to invite you and your friends to visit Cloth, Paper, Stitch, an exhibition of textile/collage stitched works by our local artist Debbie Lee. Debbie graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1992.
Rush.dance kids achieve back to back wins at two massive comps, Rush have just competed at MJN promotions Hip Hop festival in Aviemore. Once again the Rush kids have stepped up, delivered and came home with a 25 trophy haul, winning 14 Championship titles and (Tops Off Winners) the very best Hip Hop dancers of the day in Junior and Senior sections.
Currently on display at the Gallery Cafe, Caithness Horizons from now until the end of November is a collection of paintings by local wildlife artist Elaine Rapson-Grant. Elaine has a total of fifteen paintings on display and has used various mediums and techniques.

All artwork will be for sale if you are looking for a special Christmas present and it can be collected during the gallerys opening times on 22nd and 23rd December, in time to wrap it up and put under the Christmas tree.
