SCOTLANDS MOST NORTHERLY MAINLAND ORCHESTRA.

From 4th - 7th August 2016.

YOU can enjoy rehearsing Tchaikovskys 5th Symphony as part of our orchestra under the baton of Susie Dingle.

We are the community orchestra that ANYONE can join!

For over thirty year years The Caithness Orchestra has been making music for fun and enjoyment in the Far North of Scotland.

Our conductor Susie Dingle studied at the State Conservatory of St Petersburg with Ilya Musin and Aleksandr Polishchuk and has experience working in a wide variety of settings: conducting symphonic programmes, contemporary music groups, opera companies, choirs and youth orchestras across Scotland. She is also the conductor of the Wick Choral Society, the St Johns Singers and the Highland Chamber Orchestra. She was the conductor of the Highland Region Youth Orchestra for 15 years and has recently been appointed as the new conductor of the Aberdeenshire Youth Orchestra. She continues to work regularly for the Scottish Schools Orchestral Trust.

We will delighted to welcome orchestral players who would love to rehearse Tchaikovskys 5th Symphony in a productive but relaxed atmosphere.

Players under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Although preferable, it is not essential that players attend all the sessions.

The cost will be £30 for the whole event or £10 per day. The optional dinner on Saturday evening will be an additional cost.
All rehearsals will be held in The Ross Institute, Halkirk, KW12 6XY which is approx. 7miles from Thurso.
