Children's Choir Sing at BB Reception
The Caithness & North Sutherland Children's Choir sang at the The Boys Brigade Anniversary Reception in Thurso. Caithness councillors welcomed the Boys Brigade Representatives from all over the UK to a civic reception to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of William Smith founder of the Boys Brigade..11/4/2004

UKAEA Dounreay have sponsored uniforms for Caithness & North Sutherland Children's Choir, which is run for children from Primary 4 age to Secondary 2. Throughout the year the choir sings at local events entertaining all ages of the community.21/10/2003

Live Music Now!, a charitable scheme founded by the late Lord Menuhin in 1977, will present ten performances in various Wick and Thurso community venues between 10 and 13 March. On Hogmanay evening the Opera House at Ackergill Tower was the setting for a short ceremony at which the Directors of Ackergill Ltd presented a new baldric, or Drum Major's sash, to Wick RBLS Pipe Band in recognition of the friendly ties which exist between the Company and the Band. Before making the presentation Mrs Arlette Banister invited the Drum Major, Alistair Lamont, to explain to the assembled house guests the origins and purpose of the baldric.18/12/2002

Come Over The Ord - New Video Featuring Caithness
This video is one of 19 own label videos which form part of the extensive range of Scottish traditional music recordings on the Ross Records label owned by Gibson and Ann Ross. There is a strong Caithness connection as Gibson was born and brought up in Wick, and attended both Wick North and Wick High schools before going to Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh to study pharmacy.2/11/2002
