Demonstration Evening at WRI
25th April 2001

The Caithness Quilters held a demonstration evening for the WRI in Wick.
Quilt by Lyn Ball, made for her City and Guild course in Design and Patchwork. This was Lyn's first full sized quilt. The design, Lyn's own invention, was inspired by a stain glass window. Fabrics used: Moda Marbles and Fossil Ferns. It was machined pieced and hand quilted.

Caithness Quilters run monthly workshops and beginners can easily get started by attending them. There is always arange of new projects to work from the simple to the complicated.
Caithness Quilters held another successful exhibition in Assembly Rooms Wick on 27 July 2006. Caithness Quilters held another successful exhibition and coffee morning for charity on Saturday morning. Raffle tickets will shortly be on sale for a quilt.

An exhibition and sale of patchwork and quilting items was held in the Town and County Club, Back Bridge Street Wick, on 20 November 2004. Dr Pat Robertson who is chairman of Diabetes UK opened the Exhibition and Sale which was to raise funds for the Caithness Branch.
The Caithness Quilters exhibited work at the Easter Festival in the Bridge Street Church, Wick. The festival theme this year was quilting and patchwork.
The lucky winner of the Charity Quilt drawn on 30 September 2003 was Margaret Maclean, Tullochlea, Bruan. Macmillan Cancer Relief received the grand sum of �1700.00.

Running for two weeks until 3 August - Mon - Sat 10.00am - 5.00pm and Sunday 12.00 - 4.00pm. 50p entry and a raffle is being run to win one of the beautiful quilts on display.
