Rush.dance kids have just completed their first Street dance competition of 2014, when they travelled to Motherwell to take part in MAD Street dance Scottish Championships.   Results on the day – It was first time out for Troy Giles (4 years old) and he danced amazing in U5 Solo, making his teachers & his parents proud.

The National Theatre will broadast its live performance of Coriolanus by William Shakespeare around the world and Thurso Cinema will get all the action on Thursday 30th January 2014.   National Theatre Live will broadcast the Donmar Warehouse’s production of Coriolanus, Shakespeare’s searing tragedy of political manipulation and revenge, with Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers, War Horse (film), BBC's The Hollow Crown) in the title role and Mark Gatiss (Season's Greetings at the National Theatre, BBC's Sherlock) as Menenius, directed by the Donmar's Artistic Director Josie Rourke.

Rush.dance has just completed MAD Scottish Street dance ChallengeThumbnail for article : Rush.dance has just completed MAD Scottish Street dance Challenge
Results on the day – U10 Beg/Nov Crew, SO HYPE placed a massive 3rd place with only their 3rd time dancing as a crew.  So Hype Went up against another seven Scottish crews in Under 10’s and to place top 3 was amazing.

Alexander Miller was born in Glasgow in 1905 of Caithness parents - his father being Mr James Miller, ironmoulder, and his mother the late Mrs Miller, 62 Rose Street, Thurso.  They came back to Thurso when Alexander was eight years of age, and he was educated at the Miller Academy.
