Writing A Song - A Journey Into Lyricism And Poetry With Zoe Sutherland

For beginners and music enthusiasts interested in exploring lyric writing and poetry, this workshop is an introduction to the basics of writing a song. Part 1 of a 4 part songwriting series, this workshop explores different techniques for putting pen to paper when writing a song. Opening to a greater creativity and encouraging self-expression through the art of lyrics and poetry.

This approach is a more intuitive and imaginative form of songwriting than formal and structured, allowing the writing to cultivate a life of its own. An exploration around the muse of music, writing a song starting with words. Zoë Sutherland is a singer and songwriter, from the southern shores of the UK. With 12+ years experience, she has explored a slow and purposeful approach to her career in music. She released her first album under the artist name: Xoë Zahara in 2018, and has played to live audiences from the South to the North of the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Bali. She creates music that stirs the soul and evokes a raw authenticity and intimacy, with a touch of the mystic in her writing.

Please note: There are 4 workshops in total. Participants are encouraged to book for all 4 but this is not essential.
