Saturday 30th July Live music from the North Coast Jazz Band and friends in the Redwood, Thurso from 2-Pam. Entry free; the bar will be open.

Saturday 30th July - Readings from Writers, with Live Music. Bess Ross - author of Strath, Those Other Times and A Bit of Crack & Car Culture; Nancy Nicolson - Wick's own Herring Queen & Celtic Connector; and George Gunn - Thurso's Grey Coast Pictish Naval Commander. Monday 1st - Saturday 6th August Kross Kounty Quilters Exhibition in Murkle Community Centre. 10-4 (10-3 Sat.) 2 adult, 50p child, in aid of Alzheimers and Autism.

Tuesday 2nd - Saturday 13th August (daily excluding Sunday 7th) The Annual Exhibition of the Society of Caithness Artists. Thurso Town Hall.

Wednesday 3rd August Wick RBLS Pipe Band Scottish Variety Show, Pipe Band Hall, High Street, Wick at 8pm. Admission 3 includes tea/coffee and biscuits.

Thursday 4th August A Taste of Tartan: Ceilidh featuring Addie Harper Scottish dance band and local artistes. 8.00pm in Thurso Royal British Legion. Admission 3 with reductions for children.

Saturday 6 August 10am - 4pm- Lyth Arts Centre The Taiwan Experience art and culture workshop for adults with Joanne B. Kaar and Ding Way-Lin. 15 per person. This workshop is subsidized by the Community Events Fund for Caithness Arts Week. 01955 641 270

Saturday 6 August Maritime Family Fun Day at the Fishmart, Wick Harbour. Entertainment, music, films, stalls, etc Organised by the Caithness Cultural Trust

Saturday 6 August 8pm - Lyth Arts Centre Teudan Binn (Musical Strings) with Mairi Macleod. Beautiful harp playing showing a range of musical styles from traditional, classical to modern.
