New Caithness Arts Festival Co-ordinator Appointed

Caithness Arts was pleased to announce a new development in their effort to support growth in the local arts infrastructure.

Linda Hutton has been appointed as Caithness Arts Festival Co-ordinator. Despite the title, her role extends beyond the Festival, and she is now the main point of contact for those wishing to organise events for Caithness Arts Week, post information via the e-mail list, or send items for inclusion in the Newsletter and What's On, which Linda will now produce.

Linda is based meantime in Traill House, Olrig Street, Thurso (also the office of Grey Coast Theatre Co.) She can be contacted on (01847) 895500, e-mail adnil72[AT]gmail.com .

Items for the Newsletter or e-mail items, which should now be sent to Linda's address above, along with What's On items.

Caithness Arts Week 2006 will run from 16th - 24th September 2006.

Linda is co-ordinating the programme, and is still keen to be contacted by groups of individuals who have an event which could be part of this week. PHONE HER TODAY!!

Caithness Arts - Open Studio Weekend - 26th/27th September 2009 Caithness Arts is holding an "Open Studios" event, during which Artists and Makers based in the Far North will be opening their doors to give the public a rare chance to see inside their working studios.  Many artists will be transforming their homes into mini galleries for the duration of the weekend thus providing a great opportunity to view a wide range of work and allow purchasing direct from the artist.
