He will succeed Emma Woffenden on the completion of her inspiring three-year term of office, culminating in North Lands 20, the anniversary celebration of its first master class and conference in 1996.

St Fergus Gallery, Wick Library To mark the Centenary of the First World War this exhibition of photographic work by Scottish photographer Peter Cattrell includes quiet, reflective landscapes from the Somme. Catrell's interest in the Somme was sparked upon the discovery of a photograph of his great uncle, William Wyatt Bagshawe, with three of his companions from the Sheffield 'Pals' Battalion.

Expect some cutting-edge stuff from musicians exploring new sonic territory.
SCOTTISH ENSEMBLE MUSICIANS IN RECITAL OCTOBER 18, 2015 CHAMBER MUSIC During a Scottish Ensemble Residency based in Inverness, four of their musicians will make a trip to Lyth to work with The Caithness Orchestra. The Scottish Ensemble musicians are: Violin Cheryl Crockett Violin Bas Treub Viola Catherine Marwood Cello Alison Lawrance This is part of Scottish Ensemble's not just normal concerts when they plan a cluster of events in a specific location and move from the concert hall into the community.

North Lands would like to say a huge thank you to our regular lampworking tutor, Ian Pearson and Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd for their kind donation of torches, lathes and cutting and polishing equipment from the now retired nuclear facility. Ian has worked tirelessly to make the donation possible and it has taken him two years to process all the authorisation paperwork.
Visit the film production at the St Fergus Gallery from 19th September to 17th October 2015 by Rachel Maclean, The Weepers. The Weepers was commissioned by Comar on Mull, the film examines the legend of Bean Nighe or Washer Women, a monstrous and ominous spirit.

It was founded by guitarist Elvis Stanic (Croatia) and Andrea Vicari (London) who will spend a week at Lyth working with bass-player Mario Caribe (Brazil), reed-player Fraser Fifield and drummer Alyn Cosker (both Scotland).
