£2.3m boost for new creative industries strategy
Four contractors have been appointed to deliver the Highlands and Islands Creative Industries Network Programme over the next three years.   The appointments follow the launch last night (11 Dec) of a new five-year Creative Industries Strategy by Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) at Eden Court in Inverness.

Unique Concerts Festival celebrates youth music-making at its best
Over 300 young musicians from across the Highlands have been busy rehearsing for their unique showcase Concerts Festival which will feature the eight diverse groups working under the umbrella of Highland Young Musicians.   Held in the Osprey Arena at MacDonald Aviemore Resort on Saturday 22 November, the festival will open with the full symphonic sound of the Highland Regional Youth Orchestra, conducted by the RSNO's Jean-Claude Picard at 2.30pm.

The V&A/RCA postgraduate programme, which includes MA, MPhil and PhD in the History of Design, invites applications for two fully funded MA scholarships: The Friends of the V&A Scholarship and the Oliver Ford Trust Scholarship.  These scholarships cover fees for the two years of the MA and include maintenance grants of up to 3,000 GBP per year.
