Highland's premier musicians compete
Twelve of the Highland's most talented young musicians will gather at Eden Court's Maclean Room on Sunday (14 June) as they complete for the title of 'Highland Young Musician of the Year 2015'.   The Young Musician competition is now in its ninth year and is open to all those who are currently members of Highland Young Musicians groups with the 3 competitors judged most successful on the day receiving monetary awards and the overall winner receiving the Richardson Trophy for Musical Excellence - generously gifted by Mr.

The Side are back, and are set to play Blackstairs Lounge in Wick on Saturday 4th July with a new line-up consisting of original members Hugh "Winnie" Winton (Vox/Guitar), John “Muff” Ross (Drums) & Ryan Golder (Bass / Backing Vox), with new addition Ruaridh Campbell (Keys).   Formed in 2005 in Alness, The Side have enjoyed remarkable success over the years for an unsigned act, with appearances at Belladrum, Bfest and Rockness as well events in France, Russia and Luxembourg.

14 May 2015 Lyth Arts Centre Elvis McGonagall one man & his doggerel Stand-up poet, armchair revolutionary and recumbent rocker, Elvis McGonagall is the sole resident of The Graceland Caravan Park somewhere in the middle of nowhere where he scribbles verse whilst drinking malt whisky and listening to Johnny Cash.  Elvis is the 2006 World Slam Champion, the compere of the notorious Blue Suede Sporran Club and appears regularly on BBC Radio 4 and occasionally on the telly.
