A group of northern artists had a successful opening night on 5th November 2011 Axolotl Gallery in Dundas Street, Edinburgh.
The exhibition display works by 25 Caithness artists in oil, watercolour, acrylic, and mixed media paintings, etchings, 3Dim sculptures in glass, wood, slate, felt and cane and also photographic images of the county. They have all used the dramatic skies, landscape, archaeology and historical heritage of Caithness as their inspiration.
Saturday 12th sees an afternoon of cakes and wine between noon and 3.00pm.
The exhibition continues until 30th November so if you are in Edinburgh why not go along and take a look.
This is an excting and varies group of work in a lovely setting.
Opening times at the gallery are
Tuesday - Thursday - 11.00am - 4.00pm
Friday - Saturday - 11.00am - 6.00pm
