The Thurso High School Drama club have been working hard to create a play for pooches and their owners. 'A Dog's Life' is a fun performance with dog themed songs - such as 'Scooby Doo, Where Are You?' and 'How Much Is That Doggy In The Window?' - and short sketches including 'You Thew the Ball, You Go Get It!'.
Eden Court Arts Worker David Hunter has been working with the drama group and says 'The show has been a good acting experience for the participants. They have had to think about every aspect from body movement to the sounds they make. I am sure it will be a unique experience for everyone involved.'
David's own dog is from the Balmore Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Caithness, and the group are keen that the dog owners will make a donation to the rescue centre when they come along to this free performance.
The performance will take place at the back of the Mill Theatre and Youth Club in Thurso on Thursday 7th October at 5pm (with a sniff and meet at 4.45pm) and will last about 15 minutes. Suited to friendly dogs that will be kept on their leads.
