A project of Còisir Ghàidhlig Mhealabhaich / Melvich Gaelic Choir

A series of 'Gold' Gaelic song concerts & workshops ….
…in this year of celebration in the Highlands we are presenting Ceòl aig Tuath /Music in the North.

This exciting series of concerts will showcase Gaelic song and music and give anyone and everyone the chance to learn to sing in Gaelic. The workshops will be led by the concert artists so the tuition will be expert and enthusiastic to support all those new to the challenge, those returning to it after time away and those who are Gaelic singers. A Gaelic teacher will be at the workshops to ensure help with the language when needed.

First event:
Friday March 9th
James Graham & Kirsteen MacDonald in Concert
7.30pm at Durness Village Hall, Durness, on the North Coast

Sat March 10th, 10am for 10:30 start at Durness Primary School. Workshop ends at 1pm

Fourth event:
This year the local Caithness & Sutherland Mod takes place in Thurso.
The local Mod is returning for the first time in over 20 years to Thurso and is scheduled for June 9th 2007.
In the evening there will be a Gaelic Culture Concert at the Thurso British Legion starting at 7:30pm.
