Eden Court's 'Out of Eden' project takes to the stage at Ackergill Tower for Halloween with what promises to be a unique play, on a unique night, in a unique setting. Led by outreach worker David Hunter, the drama group from Thurso High School have put together a most amusing and finely tuned parody of the old Frankenstein movies, guaranteed to be great fun for actors and audiences alike.
Baron Von Frankenstein, famous for creating his big bad monster, takes on the role of 'agony uncle' as he tries to counsel and perhaps even cure a group of monster guests who he has invited to his castle at Halloween. The guest list reads like a 'Hammer House of Horror Who's Who?' and includes such luminaries as Count Dracula, Countess Elizabeth Bathory, Harry Talbot (the American Werewolf) and The Phantom of the Opera along with his protge, Isabel Channing. The Baron is helped, or more likely hindered, by his staff, the unsavoury hunchback Ygor and the Valkyrian Frau Lurker. As the Baroness goes of the rails, his guests reveal their true colours and all hell is let loose.
David says, "This will be a wonderful experience for the young actors. The combination of the play, the date and the setting, will live with them for a long time."
The show is sure to be very popular and, as audience space is limited, book early to avoid disappointment.
The show starts at 7.00pm on Tuesday 31st October and tickets priced at 3.00 & 1.00 can be reserved in advance by either contacting David on 0771 4021143 (leaving a message and contact number if he's not available to take your call) or by email to outofedendrama[AT]aol.com
