Scotia Review - Creatin' a Stoor
CUTTING EDGE WRITERS
On Thursday 21st September, three writers associated with Caithness will each read from their recently published collections of poetry. Founding editor David Morrison's The Cutting Edge - Collected Poems 1966-2003 [Poetry Salzburg, 2006]; Tom Bryan's Rattlesnake Road [Dionysia Press 2006]; and George Gunn's Winter Barley [Chapman 2005] are all substantial volumes from mature poets, which deserve national attention. Scotia is pleased help launch them all to become part of the canon.
Poetry is a sadly neglected art form, and it's always difficult convincing doubters that an evening of poetry can be fun. You can be sure this trio will have you laughing and crying by turn, and it'll be rare if one of them doesn't burst into song!
