Thurso Come Dancing joined the growing wave of interest in Ballroom and Latin dancing some time ago but with all the media attention many people have been reminded of the great chance to socialise in a club.
There are many benefits to be had from dancing not least being the health and well-being side. But mainly it is the social and fun side and learning a new skill that more and more are finding to be easier than they thought with a little practice.
The Thurso group have weekly sessions and separate sessions for beginners.
The club are also involved in organising social nights and taking trips to other places to be assessed for medals for the really keen dancers. But essentially it is non-competitive with relaxation and fun being the main thing for most people at the start.
Anyone who likes music and wants to combine it with movement and gaining the skills to dance with other like-minded folk will enjoy the experience. So if you have ever thought about getting out of the chair when you see it on tv now is a great time to get moving.
From complete beginners to t more experienced dancers get going to Thurso Come Dancing.
See the groups page for contact details and venues.
