The Howlin Gaels new CD has been written and compiled with all the usual love for their music that has made them one of the top blues/rock bands in Scotland. With an incredible playing experience behind them with the ability to play almost anything they have over the years wowed audiences wherever they went.
Their latest CD is full of freshly written tunes and typical of the Gaels distinctive style. A Caithness band they have played all over and made many appearances at concerts and on radio and TV.
Lonely road brings 10 songs to an audience that will remeber many of their earlier songs. The guys - Donny Williamson (Vocals, harmonica and backing vocals), Alex McIntosh(Lead, Rythm and Accoustic Guitar), David Tashinizi (Bass, Lead and Accoustic Guitar and Backing Vocal) and Fraser Sparling Drums, Percussions and Backing vocals) called on a few other Caithness musicians to beef up the tracks in the recording studio. Appearing on the tracks with the Gaels are Duncan McLachlan (Keyboards & Loops), Ian Sinclair (Tenor Sax), Stuart Whitely (Trunoet), Dave Mainland (Baritone Sax).
One of the tracks is available to hear on the Howlin Gaels web site www.howlingaels.co.uk
A track from an earlier album is also online to listen to.
The guys are looking for a young people's charity in Caithness to donate the profits to and are homing in on musical charities to help budding musicians.
The album is available from the Howlin Gaels web site for just 10 inc P & P.
