PLACES AVAILABLE FOR DANCE LEADERSHIP COURSE
What?
A two weekend residential Dance Leadership Course providing nationally recognised qualification in dance leadership. The course is practical and challenging but most of all fun - mixing skills training and personal development with social activities. Applicants don't have to be dancers - but should have an interest in leading dance for girls and young women in their local community after graduating from the course
When?
Evening Fri 16th June to Sun 18thJune in Thurso, Caithness
Evening Fri 23rd June to Sun 25th June in Stromness, Orkney
Who?
Young women aged 16 to 25 years old with an interest in physical activity and dance - from any area in Scotland (but particularly those from Orkney and the Highlands) - who don't already hold a degree or coaching qualification to date.
Why?
To develop confidence, give opportunities for training in dance and encourage young women to become leaders in their own communities and increase physical activity levels in Scotland
How?
By providing personal development, dance and leadership opportunities along with follow-up support to young women who might not otherwise have the opportunity.
Cost?
�20 per head (covers all accommodation, transport, food, dance, tuition, and social events)
Venue?
Stromness Community Centre (and local hotel) and Thurso Youth Club (and local school).
