Highland youth pipe bands success at European Pipe Band Championships
Ross and Cromarty Pipes and Drums School (RACPADS) pipe band, Lochalsh Junior Pipe Band and City of Inverness Youth Pipe Band were competing at the European championships last Saturday in Forres. Lochalsh Junior Pipe Band was placed 2nd in Novice B, Ross and Cromarty were 5th in Novice A and City of Inverness 9th in Novice B.2/7/2016

The Musical Map of Caithness produced by local musician Gordon Gunn and friends in 2015 has proved a huge hit with local sand visitors. Gordon said, We had a terrific response last summer and now we are restocked and gearing up for summer tourists so folk are are using it as their musical tour guide and from hotel responses some are staying the extra night due to the visitor attractions on the album and wanting to go and visit.3/6/2016
