Caithness Music Association

Caithness Music Association organises and promotes an annual music festival in Caithness. The association also helps young people with their musical education and with the purchase of instruments and sheet music.

Many local Scottish Music Festivals have disappeared and Caithness is one of the few long term survivors that still attracts a huge entry each year. The chances are nearly every child that went to a Caithness school in nearly 50 years has been in the music festival.

The annual festival is very well organised by an enthusiastic and energetic committee. Judges who come from all over the country to adjudicate are always impressed by the slick movement of children around the various halls and within the county.

The members meet in the Thurso High School and Wick Assembly Rooms.
