Kimberley Mackay, 19, is a Wick born fiddler. After four years studying her instrument at the National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music, she is now in her third year on the Scottish Music course at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. Inspired by her tutors, Addie Harper, Iain MacFarlene and Pete Clark, she plays music from all over Scotland. As well as performing, Kimberley also teaches youngsters and adults. She hopes to go on to study a post graduate in Music Therapy after graduating at from the RSAMD.
