Still Time To Apply For The Cultural Bridges Fund

24th December 2007

The Cultural Bridges Fund (CBF) will make £30,000 available during an 18 month period to encourage greater understanding across cultures in Highland. The Fund will provide grants for projects or programmes which promote improved community relations between new residents, minority ethnic community groups and the wider community in the Highlands.

The Highland Council is administering the grants' scheme on behalf of the Highland Wellbeing Alliance which is providing the funding for this initiative. The CBF may extend beyond the initial 18 months depending on an evaluation of the scheme and the availability of funding.

Grants will be available for projects and programmes taking place in The Highland Council area.

Constituted community groups, limited companies, co-operatives, charities, local authorities or partnerships of these are able to apply for funding.

Grants of up to £2000 will be considered up to a maximum of 100% eligible project costs. For applications over £2000, funding of up to a maximum of 80% of total eligible project costs may be considered. The normal maximum level of any grant from CBF will be £8000 but it is anticipated that most awards will be considerably less than this.

There are three deadline dates for applications:
30th October 2007
31st December 2007
31st March 2008
