Chamber Music Scotland has launched a new Small Venues Touring Fund to support Scotland-based musicians to tour small venues across the country. Supported by Creative Scotland, the Small Venues Touring Fund will distribute grants of up to £5000 to cover performance fees. https://www.chambermusicscotland.com/

The aims of the fund are to:

Support musician's own touring plans.
Platform the quality and innovation within the chamber music sector in Scotland.
Allow artists to decide where and what they play.
Encourage tours rather than ‘one-off' performances.
Platform for new, innovative and experimental chamber music, as well as traditional.
Reach new chamber music audiences and communities, where access to arts experiences may be limited.
Ensure appropriate rates of pay for musicians.
Chamber Music Scotland says; "We are delighted to launch this new opportunity for freelance musicians in Scotland. The Small Venues Touring Fund will support artists to programme and deliver their own tour, collectively showcasing the incredible music and musicians within the chamber music sector in Scotland.' - Paul Tracey, Chief Executive, CMS.
