Public Open Evening Event, Talk & Demonstration - Meet the Artist, Denis Mann

In Celebration of his solo exhibition "A life time of adventures in glass" North Lands Creative is delighted to welcome Denis Mann to the Quatre Bras Gallery on the evening of the 25th of September for a unique meet the artist talk and demonstration event.

"Denis is a highly regarded Caithness artist; his accomplished creative career has spanned 49 years. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet Denis in person and gain an insight in to his creative approaches to glass engraving and hear about his inspirations and lifetimes work." said Laura O'Kane, North Lands Creative "As a celebrated local artist, Denis's artworks are very visible across the county. His name is synonymous with Caithness Glass and he has deep and tangible connections to the Caithness area. We are delighted to welcome everyone to this exciting event"

Among Denis's many accolades, he is perhaps most acclaimed for his work designing and engraving the Master Mind Trophy. Denis began engraving the trophy in 1971 and he has engraved every trophy since, recently completing his 48th.

Alongside the evenings event, there will be an auction of works by Artist Engravers to support the acquisition of glass engraving tools for the North Lands Creative educational programme.

This event will take place from 6pm on the evening of the 25th of September at Quatre Bras Gallery in Lybster.

All are welcome and entry is free.
