Caithness bands look as if they are taking the web by storm as another local band Crimson Tide ratchet up a gear with their own marketing via their new look web site Crimson Tide Following hard on the heels of Estrella who launched a few days ago the local "Battle of the Bands" In Caithness is now heading ever upwards. The line up of talent in Caithness bands has always been strong and currently their is a huge range of musical ability and variety around.
We have one of Crimson Tide's latest CDs on offer. We will randomly select a winner from whoever can answer the following question - Forget the question just email your name and address and we will make the draw.
Caithness band Crimson Tide will launch their new CD on 10 December at the Redwood in Thurso. Making a night of it they have two other local bands Boss Hogg & Cyanide joining them for a gig.
Caithness band Crimson Tide will release their first album on the 10th December. The CD will feature 5 original tracks, produced by Isaac Sutherland, QPQ Productions.
Boss Hogg one of the most popular bands in the north won the local heat of the Pulse Heat Bands competition on Saturday at Viewfirth in Thurso. Unfortunately due to other commitments they cannot head for the final at Mad Hatters in Inverness on Saturday.
Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival has announced 'Pulse' - a talent trawl for emerging bands and soloists throughout the Highlands, in association with Mad Hatters at Hootannany's and HUBL, the web site for Highland musicians. A series of selection events will be around the Highlands - Inverness, Dingwall, Nairn, Alness, Thurso, Skye and Oban, culminating in a final selection in Mad Hatter's, Inverness in July.
Caithness Cultural Trust are showing that they are willing to tackle a range of arts and music ventures in the course of their development. The latest is E Rock Concert featuring some of the well known local bands.
