Caithness artist, Joanne B Kaar is to hold her first studio sale. This two-day event will take place on the Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd November, in Dunnet. 11am - 4pm on both days.
With new projects in the pipeline, Joanne has had to make the hard decision to have a clear out of her studio which is also her home, as she simply doesn't have room to keep everything. Including artwork inspired by Robert Dick the baker and botanist of Thurso, Mary-Ann's Cottage: artworks, handmade paper books, book boxes, and even a peat paper jacket - adult size.
There will also be a variety of craft materials and small hand tools including papers made from plants, peat and linen rag, handmade string (all home grown), very large sheets of traditional red Chinese paper used for paper-cuts, book cloth, fish-skin leather and much more.
Joanne is keen to sell and is offering fantastic bargain basement prices.
Directions: Follow signs for Mary-Ann’s Cottage, Dunnet. When you’re at the T-junction facing the cottage, turn right to go up the hill. Joanne’s studio is the last house on the right-hand-side before you reach the car park for Peedie Sands.
