Caithness bands look as if they are taking the web by storm as another local band Crimson Tide ratchet up a gear with their own marketing via their new look web site
Crimson Tide

Following hard on the heels of Estrella who launched a few days ago the local "Battle of the Bands" In Caithness is now heading ever upwards. The line up of talent in Caithness bands has always been strong and currently their is a huge range of musical ability and variety around.

Crimson Tide have pushed out even further with links to pages with samples of their CD online for you to listen to. Currently four tracks are online for you to click through and listen to while surfing. To listen go to Crimson Tide Tracks or pick up the link on the new web site.

'Crimson Tide' is a four piece band from the north of Scotland, Sutherland. Describing their sound as melodic rock - from catchy to heavy to mellow, but always powerfull and full sounding they have certainly got plenty going for them and improving all the time. the band band consists of: Drums - Ross MacIntosh, Bass - Gordon MacIntosh, Guitar/Voals - John Mason, and Vocals - Ewen Mackay.

Exposure has been increasing as they played their way through pubs, clubs and dances. Now with a CD out they have nothing to lose but to keep going for it. At recent gig they managed to seell 90 copies of their CD - pretty good going for local dance. There seems nothing to stop them now and by the look of it with anew web site and tracks available online they are not letting the grass grow under them.

As they blast their sound into cyberspace we wonder who willbe the next Caithness band to get in on the act and hammer their way into the crowded web. now Crimson have clawed their own space out over here at Caithness.org we hope they have plenty more coming along.

Well done guys - keep it comin.
