Configure8 Ensemble Coming To Thurso For Concert

The ensemble Configure8 are well known for their concerts allover the UK. The talented group consists of 8 musicians and five of them (Strings) will be appearing in Thurso at the High School as part of the Thurso Live Music Association season of music.

The line up on this occasion is string quintet.

The concert is at 8.00pm on Monday 27 February in the usual venue of Thurso High School.

With a broad range of music on ofer ranging from Haydn's Divertimento in E flat through Intermeezzo by Kodaly and Pavane Couleur du Temps by Frank Martin to some colurful South american music by Clovis Pereira and Antonio Madureira.

Throw in a few waltzes by Dvorak and end up with Quintet Opus 77 and you have an extremely varied programme for cold night in the far north.
