Description Master Class Programme: 'Sources of Inspiration' Session 1: 5 - 13 July: 'Duo in Still Life', Bullseye Master Class with Deborah Horrell and Mel George. This class will use various mould making techniques, glass bodies (powders, frits, billets etc) and packing techniques to allow for both hollow ans solid cast vessels.

Tune Up Tour - Fiddle Rendezvous

Lyth Arts Centre To Lose Scottish Arts Council Funding From April 2009
The Scottish Arts Council (SAC) has announced that as from April 2009 it will cease to fund Lyth Arts Centre, the only dedicated professional arts venue in Caithness. The Council has funded the Centre on an annual basis since it first opened in 1977.Lyth Arts Centre - Tune-Up Tour - Club Tromolo
Club Tromolo is a nine-strong team from Glasgow presenting wonky cabaret, music and dancing. Described by The List as "The most original club night in years ", acts include madly eccentric and surreal characters like ferret-juggling Frank Percy OBE, Mystic Martin, Suzie Sparkle, static acrobat troupe The Flying Frumpingtons, the Govan Seer and many more.

Weekend Saxophone Course At Lyth With Carole Sutherland
Held in the stunning Lyth Arts Centre near Wick, Caithness, the Carole Sutherland Saxophone Course offers the opportunity for saxophonists of all ages and levels the chance to learn and perform with others in a supportive and relaxed environment. To attend the Course you don't have to be a whizz kid on the saxophone although some playing experience would be helpful! The Course will begin on Friday 28th September at 8pm with a short recital given by Carole Sutherland (saxophone) and Laura Baxter (piano).

A very original Line-up of vocals, trumpet/flugelhorn and piano performing a more melodic programme of jazz and latin standards and original pieces. Brigitte grew up in France, has worked in the USA and is now based in London.
