Reception - Come and meet students from Sinclair Community College, Ohio Sunday 7th August, 8pm, 2 hours including buffet, age 12+, foyer event, live music A party of 10 students and 2 Faculty are spending a week billeted at Lyth while engaged in an archaeological dig at Girnigoe Castle. The Centre is hosting this reception and serving a light supper.

Lecture - Lesley Ferguson Wednesday, 3rd August, 8pm, 1 hour including questions followed by tea, age 12+, foyer event As part of our focus on the life of John Nicolson (1843 - 1934), whose paintings hang in this year's exhibition , this illustrated talk by the Head of Collections, Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland, will cover the archaeological work Nicolson and Tress Barry undertook around 1890 excavating local prehistoric sites. .
