Celebration Tree At Northlands Creative Glass
Any seed when planted needs many things in order to flourish and grow. North Lands Creative Glass was a seed sown in 1996 in the small fishing village of Lybster on the North east coast of Scotland and over the past 20 years the people and place of Lybster and Caithness have provided good fertile nourishment.Thurso High School Art Exhibition

North Lands Creative Glass Appoints New Artistic Director
The Board of North Lands Creative Glass is delighted to announce the appointment of Jeffrey Sarmiento as Artistic Director from 1 October 2016. He will succeed Emma Woffenden on the completion of her inspiring three-year term of office, culminating in North Lands 20, the anniversary celebration of its first master class and conference in 1996.

Film Request: North Lands turns 20! 
In 2016 North Lands Creative Glass celebrates 20 years of experimenting with glass and connecting with the world from a remote Scottish village. As part of our celebrations, we are looking for any film taken at any North Lands events over last 20 years to be sent to us.

North Lands Creative Glass Welcomes Equipment Donation From Dounreay
North Lands would like to say a huge thank you to our regular lampworking tutor, Ian Pearson and Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd for their kind donation of torches, lathes and cutting and polishing equipment from the now retired nuclear facility. Ian has worked tirelessly to make the donation possible and it has taken him two years to process all the authorisation paperwork.

Caithness Horizons Museum welcomes half a million visitors
Tuesday 11th August saw local group No Limits Caithness visit the Museum for a morning packed with Viking activities with Curator Joanne Howdle, or Thordis Eiríksdóttir as she is fondly known to local groups and schools. The group helped the Museum to hit the half million visitors mark and to celebrate they were presented with a special cake made in the Museum's cafe.
