Funding Opportunity - Hub Development Fund

Creative Scotland has announced the launch of a new fund to help boost youth arts provision across Scotland.  The £3.5million Hub Development Fund will support partnerships between national and regional youth arts and other youth service providers, to deliver youth arts provision across a range of artforms.

Rush.dance kids go MAD in Motherwell

Rush.dance kids have just completed their first Street dance competition of 2014, when they travelled to Motherwell to take part in MAD Street dance Scottish Championships.   Results on the day – It was first time out for Troy Giles (4 years old) and he danced amazing in U5 Solo, making his teachers & his parents proud.  

Coriolanus At Thurso Cinema From The National Theatre Live

The National Theatre will broadast its live performance of Coriolanus by William Shakespeare around the world and Thurso Cinema will get all the action on Thursday 30th January 2014.   National Theatre Live will broadcast the Donmar Warehouse’s production of Coriolanus, Shakespeare’s searing tragedy of political manipulation and revenge, with Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers, War Horse (film), BBC's The Hollow Crown) in the title role and Mark Gatiss (Season's Greetings at the National Theatre, BBC's Sherlock) as Menenius, directed by the Donmar's Artistic Director Josie Rourke.  

Young Musicians get back into the swing of things

Four of the eight Highland Young Musicians groups began rehearsals last weekend as they work towards their Concerts Festival which takes place on Saturday 8th March 2014 in Eden Court Theatre.   Members of the Highland Regional Youth Orchestra begin this part of their season under the baton of their new Conductor Jean-Claude Picard who is the Assistant Conductor of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO).
