Fleece to Fibre - Small Gallery, Inverness Museum & Art Gallery 30th August - 25th September To mark the centenary of Dovecot Studios, Edinburgh, in 2012, an ambitious project was undertaken to create a contemporary tapestry entirely from un-dyed wool.   Victoria Crowe's celebrated painting, Large Tree Group (1975), from ‘A Shepherd's Life' was chosen by Dovecot Studios to be created into a large tapestry as part of the celebrations.

Rush.dance have just competed at the biggest street dance competition of the year.  UDO (United dance organisation) have just held the World street dance championships in Glasgow at both SECC and CLYDE venues, with dancers from over 30 countries around the world from afar a field as Canada, Australia, Japan, America, Netherlands, Germany and many more, with 250 crews competing and over 6000 people attending.

Hunting for Lost Crafts - Inverness Museum & Art Gallery 30th August - 25th October 2014 A brand new exhibition about hunting, shooting and fishing opens at Inverness Museum and Art Gallery this Saturday, 30th August.  Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, the exhibition showcases crafts connected with the pursuits of hunting, shooting and fishing in the Highlands - once essential life skills but since recreational sports - illustrating how historic techniques and materials have been transformed by contemporary makers, including fly-tying, taxidermy and trophy fish carving.
