What's On In June at Caithness Horizons

On display in our café, Caithness Astronomy Group Exhibition of photographs of Aurora.

Sunday 3rd June 2pm till late
Skinandi's nightclub host their annual charity fundraiser again this year and we've been lucky enough to be part of it, ourselves and Thurso Youth Club will be hosting the event alongside Skinandi's to raise money for community projects. On the day there will be lots of family entertainment with a bouncy castle, face painter and Gary Lynch performing up close magic as well as a full line up of some of the best local musicians Caithness has to offer! Doors open at 2pm. £5 entry for adults, £3 entry for under 18's and children under 12 are free. Headlining the evening will be the very popular Chicken Pickers, not to be missed!

Monday 4th June 2pm-4pm
Join us for an afternoon drop in session and get crafty to celebrate The Queen's Diamond Jubilee. We'll be making crowns, bunting and designing stamps. Free entry, donations welcomed.

Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th
We are delighted to be involved with the arrival of the Olympic Torch in John O'Groats on Sunday 10th June. Come and join us on Saturday 9th June from 2pm - 4pm for a drop in session with the family where you can make your own Olympic Torch. You can then book your space on a mini-bus which is being provided courtesy of Natural Retreats to John O'Groats on Sunday 10th June and join in the procession and welcome of the Torch there. Please note: Spaces on the bus are limited and are reserved for those taking part in the Olympic Torch making on Saturday. Spaces on the bus must be booked in advance with Caithness Horizons. The bus will leave Caithness Horizons at 3:30pm, returning from John O'Groats at 6pm.

North Highland College 21st May-10th June
The Spring 2012 Student Art Exhibition - featuring a collection of work by Part time art students at the North Highland College has been extended and will now be on display until 10th June.
