MASSED CHOIRS AND PIPEBANDS MARCH

14th October 2010

Caithness residents are set for a most spectular sight on Saturday at 1030am when all the choirs, who have taken part in the Royal National Mòd, gather and walk en mass through the town led by the pipebands.

The massed choirs will sing together in four part harmonies and signifies that the Royal National Mòd is over for another year.

Raymond Bremner, Convenor of the local organising committee said "The massed choirs and pipebands is an amazing sight and I would urge everyone to come down and see it for themselves.

"It has been a truly amazing week and so many people have helped to make this happen. We are so proud of everyone for getting behind this event and fully supporting it.

Tourism is high on the agenda of the Caithness and North Sutherland Regeneration Partnership as part of regenerating our county. We have certainly showed over the week that Caithness can pull out all the stops and ensure that anyone visiting the area goes away with many happy memories. We hope that the Mòd has left that lasting legacy to allow the tourism sector to continue to grow."
