Dancing all the way!

There is still room for participants of all ages in the brand new event called "Dance on For Life" taking place at the Inverness Leisure Centre on Sunday March 7th between 10am and 8pm. This dance-a-thon style event encourages people of all ages to come along and try different styles of dance ranging from traditional Scottish Country dancing to new and inventive styles like Hip Hop, Break, Street and even Zumba. There will be an international flavour to the event with the opportunity to join in and learn Latin, Salsa, Russian, Indian and Belly dancing.

Linda Macdonald, Fundraising Manager for Highland Hospice is looking forward to the event, "we are so excited for our very first Dance On For Life event!! We've had registrations from all ages thus far, but it's a huge venue at the Leisure Centre, so the more the merrier!! It's great that so many dance groups are taking part, eager to share their own niche styles of dancing with a wider audience, so it's definitely a great excuse to come out and try a style that you have been eager to learn. Spectators are also very welcome to come and enjoy the fun and the showcase performances."

The Dance On For Life Festival is designed to promote healthy activity through the pleasures of dance. It is also a calendar fundraising event to help Highland Hospice so participants are encouraged to register before the event in order to obtain personalised sponsor forms, however you can also just drop in on the day with your £5 registration fee and take part.
