Maternity is a new exhibition at Inverness Museum and Art Gallery. Based on images of the mother and child from the collections of the National Galleries of Scotland the exhibition showcases eleven very different images including Botticelli's fifteenth-century masterpiece The Virgin Adoring the Sleeping Christ Child. Inverness Film Festival

Now in its fifth year, the Inverness Film Festival is the first in the newly re-opened Eden Court Theatre. Central to the festival, in this the year of Highland culture, is a celebration of Gaelic language and the theme of New beginnings. The festival features Scottish and Highlands' cinema, alongside unique international cinematic visions, and previews of some of the hottest new titles from the US. Highland Constellation
Co-reult na Gàidhealtachd

The Highland Constellation project - Co-reult na Gàidhealtachd, has created a new constellation to celebrate Scotland's year of Highland culture. The Jumping Fish - Isag a' Leum was chosen as it incorporates both the history and future of the Highlands. This new constellation will be reflected in three land artworks by Gill Russell, launched in Glenuig on the 17 November. The Highland Constellation Book and Book Rockets will form part of Highland Showcase Exhibition opening at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh on the 5 December. Inverness Gaelic Choir host special guests The Warsaw Village Band from Poland in a concert which extends a Gaelic welcome to the Polish community in the Highlands and Islands - embracing the individuality of each culture, whilst celebrating the common language of music. Under the baton of Jamie MacGregor, Inverness Gaelic Choir shakes up the Gaelic choral scene, taking the genre in new directions to great acclaim.
