Wick Pipe Band Season Drawing to a Close - Two Parades

The hectic summer schedule of Wick RBLS Pipe Band is drawing to a close. Tomorrow (Saturday 24/8/13) sees the band return to the Market Square for a street parade starting at 7.30pm, there was no parade last week due to B-fest and the World Pipe Band Championships. As usual the band will be accompanied by Highland Dancers.

Next Saturday 31st August sees the final street parade of the season. In the event of inclement weather on either day the performance will be transferred to the Pipe Band Hall. Wednesday 28th August brings the final Scottish Variety Show of the season in the Pipe Band Hall starting at 8.00pm. As usual there will be a mini pipe band, accordionist, Highland dancer and guest artists.

Band Secretary John Bogle commented "Once again our Scottish Variety Shows have been incredibly popular with both locals and visitors, with the full houses on more than one occasion. We have had a lot of visitors from overseas and other parts of the UK, some very nice comments have been left in our visitors book.
