In 2013, Nairn Book & Arts Festival celebrates 10 years of bringing literary talks, musical performance, drama and art exhibitions to the Highlands of Scotland.

Over the years the literary events have attracted a selection of well-known names across a range of genres, including Iain Banks, Christopher Brookmyre and A L Kennedy, as well as nationally and internationally renowned speakers like Kate Adie and Trevor Royle.
For music lovers there has been a diverse range of performances from Scottish traditional to jazz music, past performers include the Red Hot Chilli Pipers and The Temperance Seven.

The pop-up fringe events have become increasingly popular. These cover art, photography and writing exhibitions, workshops and competitions.

One of Scotland's favourite book and arts events, the Nairn Book & Arts Festival prides itself on celebrating Highland culture and history, with an emphasis on Gaelic culture. The programmes are always broad reaching with appeal for tourists from the UK and overseas as well as our local audience.

This year's festival takes place from 3rd to 8th September and offers a lively, rich and varied programme with something for everyone. Tickets are available now for our 2013 programme of events.
