Opportunity to be part of an orchestra and choir with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.

Sunday 3rd February 2013, 1pm, Eden Court, Inverness.

To celebrate the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra's performance of Beethoven's iconic 5th Symphony, the SSO are giving you the chance to become a member of an orchestra and choir, formed from scratch, to perform a new piece created by you.

Guided and led by inspirational workshop leader Tim Steiner you'll join some of the professional musicians of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and have fun exploring the music of Beethoven's 5th Symphony. Over the 3 hour session you will create your own piece of music that you will perform at the end of the workshop.

The BBC SSO are looking to form a scratch ensemble and choir of all ages and all abilities. Whether you are a family of musical enthusiasts, a school band, a top flight player, learning an instrument, a keen amateur singer or a complete novice....all you need is enthusiasm!

The workshop is free and is suitable for ages 7 and above. If you do play an instrument, please do bring it along, but if you don't you can take up the opportunity of singing in the choir or playing percussion.
