Scottish Music Centre Launches Composition Marathon

In a unique project, the Scottish Music Centre is inviting applications from composers to write a new work in under 24 hours, which will then be performed in Glasgow in March 2013.

Applications are welcome from composers of varying background and experience, and sending previous scores and audio examples to support your application is encouraged.

The successful candidates will then be paired with five of Scotland’s top chamber ensembles on Saturday 23 March in order to turn around a piece that will be performed at The Arches the following day.
