TRADITIONAL CEILIDH WILL HELP RAISE FUNDS FOR THE ROYAL NATIONAL MÒD

This week sees the best of local talent from Wick perform at the Norseman on Saturday 21st August 2010.

The Ceilidh, organised by the local organising committee, will be the last in a series of Ceilidhs held to help support and raise funds for the Royal National Mòd which is being held for the first time in Caithness this October.

Local artists performing include Addie Harper, Gordon Gunn, Grant Lyall, Raymond Bremner, the Melvich Gaelic Choir, The Harvey Brothers and Philip Todd with special guest Robert Roberston from Lochaber.

Raymond Bremner, Convenor of the local organising committee, said "We have been organising a variety of fund raising events this year in order to support the Royal National Mòd. This Ceilidh is the last one of a series which have been held throughout the county to help raise the funding that was required to support An Comunn Gaidhealach. It's set to be a good night with lots of local talent coming out to perform and I hope to see a big turnout from the commnuity."

The Ceilidh will take place at the Norseman Hotel, Wick on Saturday 21st August at 8:00 pm. Admission payable at the door.
