Nova Scotia/ Highlands of Scotland/Exchange Craft Residency

19th January 2008

The Highland Council are seeking to appoint a craft maker to undertake a school residency in Nova Scotia.

This residency is part of an exchange residency project between the two countries. A Memorandum of Understanding exists between the Highland Council and the Provincial Government of Nova Scotia.

Nova Scotia will be appointing a maker from their country who will be in residence in Lochaber at the same time as the maker from Scotland is resident in Nova Scotia.
Both makers should have an interest in developing the Gaelic language as part of the project.

Both participating schools will develop links prior to the start of the residencies and will communicate throughout the project and hopefully beyond.

The exchange craft residency will take place between April and June 2008 with the selection of makers taking place from January 2008 - March 2008.

Further information on the project:
Pamela.Conacher[AT]care4free.net or call 01687 470320 if you would like to discuss the residency in more detail.

Closing Date for Applications: 31st January 2008
The makers should submit visual material, C.V, and a proposal for the residency.
