The EDGE dance studio gives opportunities to the Highlands
27th February 2016
The EDGE dance studio has just held its first Hip Hop Masterclass of 2016 with one of Scotland's freshest dance choreographers Divine Tasinda from Glasgow.
Over the weekend Willie Miller’s plan was to get as much experience from divine as possible, so we put on the three 1 hour dance classes to suit our juniors and senior groups that were booked onto the Masterclass. This was a massive experience for everyone taking part with our youngest of 4 years old, mixed fun class kids, competitive kids and two of the adults taking part.
Which is great for me, the studio has opened up dance not to just Thurso but the Highlands with kids coming from all over Caithness and Brora.
Since the opening of the EDGE dance studio, the kids of Rush.dance has improved so much with training in such a fantastic facility, but the studio has opened up other dance styles being taught in it by Rebecca Miller teaching other dance styles and now also building her own Edge Elite team who compete in Stage, Slow dance Lyrical, cheer and other styles.
