The Show
In which is recounted the never imagined adventure of the brave Don Quixote, along with other events worthy to be recorded.
Don Quixote lives in a world created by his imagination and finds in his stories the excitement and passion lacking in the real world. Determined to restore the world to an age where adventures are to be had and battles to be fought, Don embarks on his quest to set the world to rights.
In the fertile imagination of the madly passionate knight, friends become fiends, windmills become giants and chaos ensues. But a chaos that proves, despite all its often humorous and occasionally disastrous consequences, to be contagious, charming and enchanting.
Combining the original feats of derring-do with a thoroughly modern take on the power of the imagination Theatre Modo creates an extraordinary and enchanting tale for our times.
The Production
Wherein is detailed the quality and manner in which the new and agreeable incidents of the illustrious knight and his companions are treated.
Staying true to the spirit rather than the letter of the original, the show follows a young man Donald who, inspired by the virtual wonders he finds in his computer, renames himself Don Quixote de la Mancha and sets forth in search of adventures.
His two friends go along with his fantasies, at first to protect and to mock, but gradually they are drawn in by his enthusiasm and by the excitement his adventures provides. Recast as squire and lover the three are drawn into an adventure which leaves them all, and us, changed.
A versatile and talented cast of three mix text, live music, song and physical theatre with simple everyday objects to create a world where the ordinary can be transformed into the wonderful.
The Company
In which is recorded the many and renounced ventures of the company as well as other details necessary to the right understanding of this grand history.
