The Side are back, and are set to play Blackstairs Lounge in Wick on Saturday 4th July with a new line-up consisting of original members Hugh "Winnie" Winton (Vox/Guitar), John “Muff” Ross (Drums) & Ryan Golder (Bass / Backing Vox), with new addition Ruaridh Campbell (Keys).

Formed in 2005 in Alness, The Side have enjoyed remarkable success over the years for an unsigned act, with appearances at Belladrum, Bfest and Rockness as well events in France, Russia and Luxembourg. However, their finest hour to date came in 2010 when they supported Bon Jovi ad the O2 Arena in London, playing to 23,000 people, as well as playing before the Scottish Cup Final at Hampden, having penned Ross County's cup final anthem that year.

The band re-launched at Mad Hatters in Inverness in May, and their new EP, due for launch in July, will feature 4 tracks - Lucy, Fight the Feeling, Starting Over and Running Away. A run of Scottish dates will support the EP launch, with a mixture of new material and old favourites due to be performed at the Blackstairs Lounge in Wick on Saturday 4th July.

Support comes from local musician and producer Andy Williamson, who launched his own solo career in late 2013 after working behind the scenes as a session performer and producer for many other artists. With a 26-date UK tour and a single release already under his belt in 2015, Andy has been working in the legendary Abbey Road studio in London preparing new material for forthcoming releases.

Entry to the show is free, on a first-come-first-served basis, with doors opening at 7pm.
