Russian artist Eugenia Vronskaya returns to Nairn with her ever-popular intensive portrait painting workshop. Based in the Highlands and a graduate of the Royal College of Art, Eugenia has painted self portraits since she was thirteen, and has undertaken countless portrait commissions.

Her Iconistas portrait project, where she painted more than 120 portrait sketches of a diverse range of local people and visiting actors, is on display at Eden Court. In this fascinating workshop she will explore how to compose a portrait, and render the complex form of the head in two dimensions, before moving on to look at how to create a successful self portrait through expression of individuality and character.
Her last workshop was a sell out and we expect the same this year, so book early!

Materials List
Please bring materials you are used to working with, i.e. if oils then oil paints, if acrylics then acrylics, if dry colour then pastels.

A stretched canvas (not too big) and/or
Paper (at least 4-5 sheets)
Drawing board
Masking tape
Pencils a range of any between 2B - 8B -
Colour crayons/oil pastels/ pastels
