CAB Spring Concert

8th February 2006

The Caithness Citizens Advice Bureau are holding a Spring Concert at Thurso High School on Friday March 10th 2006 at 7:30pm to raise funds and the profile of the work that Citizens Advice Volunteers do for the public.

Performing at the concert will be:

  • Caithness Junior Pipe Band
  • Carol-Anne Mackenzie
  • Karen Anderson
  • Caithness Schools Wind Band
  • Matthew Fields
  • Leo Shelley
  • The Big Band
  • Willie Mackay


The performers are all donating their time to the concert and are very enthusiastic about the concert.

The Caithness Junior pipe band are opening the night with one of their very well chosen Medley of pipe tunes. Carol-Anne Mackenzie will follow on with some traditional pipe music The Caithness Schools wind band are performing a great range of their popular medley of wind band works. The wind band Director Karen Anderson, the individual and group teacher, is going to do a rare public performance with her Clarinet with 3 Preludes for Clarinet and Piano composed by Robert Fields which will be performed for the first time in Caithness.

Robert will also be accompanying his son Matthew Fields with a violin solo. Matthew a very talented musician also performing on the night will be Leo Shelly with his Banjo the Big Band are also on a first for the Evening At Thurso High School and are the Finalle with their medley of Glen Miller and Duke Ellington songs.

Last but not least the Master of Ceremonies for the evening is Willie Mackay.

All are welcome, there is music for every one. It will be great evening of entertainment so do come along.
