abstractcritical writer’s prize 2013
18th January 2013
abstractcritical is delighted to announce abstractcritical Writer’s Prize, which seeks to discover talented young writers, with the winner receiving £500 and the opportunity to publish a series of articles on abstractcritical.com
You are free to write about any aspect of abstraction, any movement, artist, theory, style, or artwork. An entry could take the form of a review or an essay; it could re-appraise a work from the history of abstraction, or consider a current exhibition. Entries which fall outside or which challenge these boundaries are also welcome.
They are particularly keen to read clear and concise prose that closely attends to the physical or formal qualities of works of art, and which considers these in the context of the current situation of abstract art, or where it might go in the future.
The judges of the abstractcritical Writer’s Prize are Sam Cornish, Robin Greenwood and Anna Moszynska
